A hundred years from now it will not matter what our webpage looked like, what sort of gear we rocked, or who we were affiliated with...but the world may be a better place because we were instrumental in lifting up, giving back, and supporting our community”

We will be doing similar volunteer drives in the near future, so please check back for further updates on this charitable event and others like it.   We accept contributions of any kind.

On August 22nd, we assisted The Positive Sisterhood*DC ladies with DC’s Beautification Day at Kramer Middle School in SE, DC.  We cleared shrubs, cut down weeds, removed trash and planted many beautiful seasonal bulbs and trees to enhance the school’s landscape.  All was done during constant rain.  This annual rain or shine event is open to all volunteers (individuals and groups) and benefits the entire community!  Thanks so much for inviting us to assist you, PSDC!

Washington, DC’s Mayor Fenty and DC School Chancellor Michelle Rhee was very happy to hear that 2,400 volunteers spent their day sprucing up our schools.

The Kitty Kats’, Kitties Who Kare Team, participated in the Aids Walk Washington 2009, October 3, 2009. They walked for about 3 miles during a beautiful ‘indian summer’  day. The Kitties Who Kare Team raised almost $500 in donations to their drive, via internet solicitation. Next year, we will strive to raise more for this cause, which benefits research for a cure at the Whitman Walker Clinic.

On January 16, 2010 The Kitties solicited our MC, SC and Promo family to assist us with supplies & monetary donations. The Kitties donation drive was to benefit those displaced from the earthquake in Haiti. Over 3 million people were without shelter, running water, food, etc…and there were close to 50,000 reportedly found dead from the natural disaster. Our donations were dropped off the following day at the Embassy of the Republic of Haiti. Tons of DMV residents dropped off bags and boxes with donations to Embassy, too.

A special Thanks to Mirror Image MC, Positive Sisterhood*DC, The Majestic Divas, Ms Janice Speller and our friends and family members!!!

On July 27th, The Kitty Kats hosted A BBQ Social For Their Adopted Charity

 Hannah House

Since our last visit, some residents have secured jobs and their personal residence for them and their families. Some Kitty Kats are regularly tutoring residents to get them ready to take a GED course.  During the social the Kitty Kats manned the grill and served meals and other refreshments to the residents and staff, while others assisted with creating two reading rooms for the very young residents, on Hannah House’s family side.  It was a very fulfilling evening. The children and adult residents were appreciative for the visit and the new additions.

Currently Hannah House is in need of two monitors for their computers and any supplies For a complete listing of items needed please email us @ kittykatclub06@gmail.comYour donation(s) would gladly be accepted and appreciated!

On April 21st The Kitty Kats hosted A Social For Their Adopted Charity

Hannah House

Hannah House is more than a shelter or halfway home for women. It’s a place where former addicts, previously incarcerated, and/or unfortunate women can nurture their families in a safe and loving environment and gather the tools necessary to rebuild their lives. The HH staffers are women whose success is built on getting the female clients ready for employment or higher learning, and also into homes of their very own.   With on-going donations (which are fewer due to our current economy) and volunteer service, their success will continue.  At the social the Kitty Kats gave each child a reading book and gift cards to Mcdonalds.

Currently The Kitty Kats Are Hosting a Donation Drive for:
